Rickard Studio - Artist Robert Rickard, of Rickard Studio, draws daily inspiration from the mountains and high desert which surround his Taos studio. Taos has long been a mecca for artists, and Robert is following in their footsteps, using the warm desert colors to enrich his contemporary metal work. In his creative process, Robert casts aluminum with other metals such as copper, bronze, and iron. Each of these metals reacts differently to the chemical patinas and dye oxides with which he finishes his pieces. His work is striking in its complexity and beauty! We also carry his Art2 squares which are 12 inches x 12 inches in size and can be rotated 360 degrees.

Pat Kennedy - Local artist Pat Kennedy created these wonderful wood block prints when his children were young. Family members and friends delighted in their simple pureness, so Pat began making them as a side business which he continues today; adding new breeds along the way. If you are a dog lover or know one, one of Pat's block prints is the perfect gift!
Jean Lopez - Local graphic artist & printmaker, Jean Lopez, likes to make images that excite and inspire or that evoke feelings of beauty, peace and joy; images that stir the soul and warm the heart. The process used to create each of Jean's images is a combination of traditional printmaking techniques and contemporary technology. Each element or texture in the image is a separate layer that is drawn or painted by hand using black ink or paint on a white surface. Then, just as one would use that drawing to create a stencil for the silkscreen, or transfer it to a block of wood or linoleum, Jean brings that image into a digital illustratioin program where she layers, applies color and composes the final image. A limited edition is then printed using giclee technology with archival ink on archival paper. Jean hopes you find something for yourself in the images she has made!
Clara Nilles - Vibrant, Colorful & "Pure Fun" would accurately describe Clara Nilles acrylic animal paintings! Art is her passion. Primarily self taught, Clara Nilles has been drawing and painting since she can remember. After a long career in finance, she finally left the corporate world to pursue her biggest dream . . . of becoming an artist. Her long-standing medium of choice has been acrylics, because of their layering capabilities and intense vivid colors. Most of her paintings employ many layers in brilliant color. She believes color is the universal language that brings a positive energy to people and communicates strong emotions and mood. She also thinks that animals bring out the goodness and feelings of being with the earth. It’s a combination with timeless appeal for both children and adults. In her paintings, she strives to capture the unique characteristics, an engaging look, or the lively spirit of the animal. She makes a conscious effort to create paintings with their own voice and personality. Her paintings are frequently imaginative, slightly whimsical, but mostly fun. She wants people to laugh, love, and smile when viewing her works. American Visions is excited to carry her Giclee Canvas prints!
