Our
wonderful wood artists include:
|
Perry Holbrook
–
Educated and trained as
an engineer, after 25 years in the corporate world, Perry Holbrook's
career as a craft artist began in 2002. As a self taught wood
craftsman, he became interested in the mixing of other media with the
wood. Today his art incorporates fused glass, copper, steel, and
clay as well as wood. His mixed media boxes are an ever growing
assortment. Each box has a lift off fused glass lid with the body
of the box made from contrasting media. Functional, sculptural,
and great eye appeal for home or office!

Bernhard Voss
–
A local St.
Louis artist who recycles locally grown hardwoods, giving them new life
as sculptural wood-turned vessels, bowls and boxes. To Bernard Voss,
wood is the most exquisite of all materials. It has warmth, color
and personality; the history of its life is revealed in its rings.
By the way, we
are excited to have a Bernhard Voss triangular shaped box; as Bernhard
is one, of only a few Master Wood-turners in the world, who can create
them! |
