Originally from the Boston area, Jane began musical studies on the
violin at the age of eight. After winning a competition in New
York City in 1991, Jane moved to Italy where she won first prize in a
contest and was celebrated as an opera singer in numerous Venice
appearances. She has sung many opera roles throughout Italy.
Jane's
diverse talents make her a remarkably versatile artist. In
addition to her opera career, she owns Marco Polo/Diva Designs, an
international jewelry design studio based in Portland, OR and Venice,
Italy. Her unique creations incorporate 24K gold glass handmade by
ancient Venetian traditions. Jane's colorful and whimsical jewelry
enhances modern fashions, both casual and dressy.
